Wir können ihn problemlos als Fuchsjagdpferd oder sogar als Vielseitigkeitspferd im Spring- und Dressursport vorstellen. Er bewegt sich wunderschön, hat einen natürlich gewölbten Hals, einen gesammelt aufgestellten Kopf, eine elegante Haltung und viel Ausdruck. Slate ist absolut sanft und zeigt keinerlei Unsicherheiten. Er ist lieb, freundlich und besitzt vorbildliche Bodenmanieren. Wir haben ihn leicht im Springen ausgebildet, und er hat uns nicht enttäuscht. Seine Gänge sind leichtfüßig und schwungvoll unter englischem und westernlichem Sattel. Er ist sehr feinfühlig und reagiert prompt auf Signale. Slate bleibt ruhig beim Aufsteigen. Wir haben ihn zum Ranch- und Trailreiten ausgeführt, und er ist draußen hervorragend. Standing at 16.1 hands and a stunning steel gray this coming 4 year old Percheron cross shows a lot of promise to make a top performance type horse. We could easily see him as a fox hunter or even hunter/jumper. He has beautiful movement, and naturally arched neck, collected head set, and lots of expression. Slate is absolutely gentle with no funny business to him. He is sweet and kind and has great ground manners. We have lightly started him over fences and he did not disappoint. His gaits float under both English and Western tack. He is very light and responsive to cues. Slate stands quietly for the mounting block. We have hauled him to the ranch and trail rides and he is excellent outside. He is not spooky and will go anywhere asked of him. He is sure footed and can climb up and down anything. Slate loves the ball and has mastered the art of “kicking” it. Slate is broke to drive both single and double. He is traffic safe and has been ridden and drove down the highways and back roads.
