12yo, 13.2 hand tall paint mare. Cherokee is the kind everyone is looking for ! She is been there, done that. Cherokee trail rides by herself or in a group, she crosses anything she comes to, she has done the play day shows, she’s currently being used in a beginner riding lesson program, she’s done the obstacle courses, been ridden in parades, and she’s even broke to pull a carriage. Rather your looking for something you can ride or your kiddo can ride, Cherokee can do it all. She’s the kind I like to call “Jack of all trades”
Cherokee is easy to load, hauls quietly, easy to bathe, stands ground tied to tack, good for the vet and farrier, stands tied, stands to be mounted, meets you at the gate, etc. Cherokee has a very cute trot and lope. She neck reins, moves off leg pressure, & side passes to open and close gates. I’ve ridden Cherokee bridless and bareback. Previously Cherokee was used on a kids camp and was also used for birthday parties.
Cherokee mildly foundered about a year ago. She does wear pads on the front right now.
