Southern Charm is 8 yrs old 15.1 hands tall stunning red roan mare. This mare is one fancy fancy mare. She has all the fancy bells and whistles too. Plus she is a safe all around type anyone can ride. She is a stout, thick, wide made girl. Plus did I mention how stunning she is. She has that pretty red roan coloring. She has the shiny coat. When she is out on the sun she looks like she has glitter on her. (Kinda like the vampires in Twilight 😂). She stays this pretty year around too.
Southern Charm has that old soul, been-there-done-that personality that makes her the go-to for a quiet enjoyable ride. She is both well trained and well behaved in any scenario or discipline. She is quiet and soft to ride in or out of the arena, alone or in a group. Not at all skittish, jumpy or reactive yet sure-footed and nimble through coarse uneven terrain. Has a ground covering walk, a silky smooth jog, and great lope! Not forward or pushy making her a terrific step up for a novice rider looking for a confidence builder or babysitter type to show them the ropes! Very forgiving and patient both on the ground and under saddle. She ready to go show with endless potential to progress. Has enough of a handle to participate in local fun shows or 4H and also pull her weight around the ranch doing chores.
Southern Charm has spent plenty of late nights around the roping pen as well as early mornings trotting out to move cattle. She is no stranger to a hard days work and is a blast to use! Side passes to open and close gates, rides anywhere in the group, has snubbed colts, drug logs, crosses water, easy to catch wherever you find her, loads and hauls like a dream, stands tied quietly, great for the farrier.
This girl is absolutely a favorite among everyone that meets her. I can not express enough how safe she truly is. Plus so unbelievably pretty. This beautiful mare wants to please and wants to take care of her rider. She has zero and I men zero bad habits. You will not get hurt around this mare. You do have to want her up or tune her up before you get on her. She requires no prep. She is easy.
Southern Charm is a super easy keeper. Requires no maintenance of any kind. No special feed or supplements. She can go bare foot or put shoes on her. She has excellent hooves. She gets along great with other horses. She is not mean to other horses or marish. You can stall her or turn her out. Doesn’t matter to her. She sells 100% sounds with no issues.
