Chrome is a fancy black gelding with all the chrome you could ask for, hence the name “Chrome.” He has been used for just about everything you can imagine, including picking up at rodeos, shagging bulls, team roping, and extensive ranch work. He is no stranger to doctoring cattle, branding, sorting, and checking pairs. Chrome has truly been there and done that.
He has also been used as a flag horse at the rodeos and is confident and easy to ride in all situations. Out on the trails Chrome crosses any obstacle in his path with ease, including water, deadfall, and rough terrain. He is accustomed to traffic, dogs, and the commotion of busy rodeo environments and ranch life. He is safe and dependable, and we have confidently let beginner riders, including kids and adults with little to no riding experience, ride him on the ranch.
Chrome has an easy one-hand neck rein and is a true point-and-shoot type gelding. He is good with tarps, stands well for bathing, and is excellent for the farrier. He loads and unloads with ease and is the same gelding every day you saddle him. Chrome is consistent, dependable, and a pleasure to be around both on the ground and under saddle.
