💫 Affectionately known as Maizy, she will get you noticed wherever you go. She is a striking tobiano paint with a beautiful golden color. She is built the way everyone wants them.... thick bodied, big boned, elegant face and correct legs. She is proven in the show ring and won her confirmation class as a testament to her build.
This gorgeous palamino mare is also backed by an outstanding pedigree as well and breeding her would make anyone jealous. She goes back to Zips Chocolate Chip who is in the AQHA Hall of Fame and also the first horse in the National Snaffel Bit Association Hall of Fame in two categories (sire and show horse). His foals have won over $2 million and more than 20 AQHA World Championships. She also has San Peppy Scotch who goes back to Peppy San Badger on the bottom side. He needs no introduction, as he is AQHA Hall of Fame, NCHA Futurity Champion, NCHA Derby Champion, NCHA Finals Champion and a stallion that everyone wants on the pedigree. Maizy also has KT Black Ty Affair on the top side who is an APHA champion with 25 ROM point in halter and 27 ROM points in western pleasure. 💫 She is fancy broke and beyond smart! For anyone that has owned a smart horse.... GOSH they are fun! She was so easy to trick train. She lays down on command, side passes away and to you, picks you up at a fence, rears on command, paws/counts on command, rides at liberty, circles all gaits at liberty. She loves to play and is the first one to run out of the pasture to greet you so that she doesn't miss out. Make sure you see her second video posted of her liberty work.
💫 Maizy has done lots of cattle work. She has been used many times to move herds between pastures, sorting competitions, ranch rodeos, boxing and cutting. Her size makes it easy to maneuver through the herd, and she does not back off from aggressive cattle. She has won her classes in the Versatility Ranch Horse competitions in the area. Her extended trot in the rail class couldn't be beat and she crushed it in boxing. Last fall, while preparing for competition, Maizy sustained a strain to her right front tendon in deep sand. As a result, she has not been brought back into heavy cattle competition. Should her next owner wish to pursue high-level cattle work, ongoing maintenance may be needed. She has continued to participate in ranch riding clinics this spring with Cowboy Adventures, many trail rides and lots of liberty work.
💫 She is extremely smooth traveling and makes even the longest days enjoyable on the trail. Three weeks ago Maizy was taken on a four day camping trip with the family. She has been ridden all over the U.S. on trails from Shawnee National Park park in Illinois to Sheyanne National Grasslands in North Dakota. She not only takes the trails on with ease, but she also is usually doing it with a cooler full and ponying another horse. Maizy also does great riding out alone if that is your thing. She is comfortable around dogs, cattle, traffic and general chaos.
