If you believe owning a horse should be just as much FUN as it is about riding, we’d like to introduce you to Nemo—our resident comedian who just happens to be ridiculously pretty and pretty darn broke too!

Catalena All Class, affectionately known around the barn as “Nemo,” is a 2021 AQHA buckskin dun gelding standing approximately 14.3–15 hands tall. He’s beautifully made, uniquely colored, and has enough personality packed into him for about three horses.

Nemo is the horse who’s always involved in whatever you’re doing. He’s curious, friendly, loves attention, and is usually the first one to greet you. If something interesting is happening around the barn, you can pretty much guarantee Nemo already knows about it. 😂 He’s sweet, personable, and has a goofy side that keeps everyone around here laughing.

But once you climb in the saddle, you’ll quickly realize this kid has an education.

For only being 5 years old, Nemo has a fabulous handle and rides much more like a seasoned horse. He’s soft in the bridle, responsive to his rider, moves nicely off leg pressure, and listens well to his cues. He has an easy neck rein, comfortable walk, trot, and lope, picks up both leads, and carries himself beautifully with collection.

And while Nemo certainly has some fancy buttons, he doesn’t think every ride needs to be a training session.

Drop your reins, point him down the trail, and he’s perfectly happy cruising along and enjoying an easy afternoon. He’ll ride out alone or travel comfortably with a group and has proven himself to be a confident and enjoyable trail horse.

That’s probably what excites us most about Nemo—he could go in SO many directions.

He’s young enough that his whole future is still ahead of him, but you’re not starting from scratch. Someone has already put the time into giving this gelding an excellent foundation. He’s also been started English and could make an especially fun 4-H or open-show prospect. Ranch classes, English, Western, trails, all-around events, or simply becoming somebody’s really nice personal horse—there are a lot of possibilities here.

At five years old, he rides more like a ten-year-old, and that’s not something we get to say about many young horses.

On the ground, Nemo is easy to enjoy too. He has good manners, behaves well both stalled and turned out, and gets along nicely with the barn routine.

Just be warned: spending time with Nemo may result in excessive talking to your horse, laughing at him, and finding completely unnecessary reasons to walk back out to the barn because you “forgot something.” He’s that kind of guy.

Nemo is current on his Coggins and farrier care and comes with a recent veterinary health examination. He’s ready for someone to take the foundation that’s already there and turn him into whatever they’ve been dreaming of.
