If you’re looking for a SAFE & GENTLE pony to start your little one around horses, this is your guy! He’s not far from a puppy and is as sweet as can be, with good manners. Let me tell you, I get a lot of mini ponies in my barn that are “kid broke,” but this one in particular outshines them all!
Chewy has been hauled all around to playdays as a lead-line pony and is about as close to bombproof as you can get! Chewy rides alone as well and honestly steers & handles very well for a little guy. He just takes a more assertive kid to get him up and moving because his preferred speed is a walk or jog.
Let the kids be wild and loud, knowing this pony does NOT care! He’s easy to catch and is always the first to meet you at the gate. With a pony like this, kids can learn to do it all themselves while feeling safe and confident, and you can worry a little less.
Chewy has been used for lessons, pony parties, and just goofing around on the ranch. He holds his own with the big horses and can be turned out or stalled. He is sound, has never foundered, and has great feet.
