Standing 14.1hh, making her that perfect height for kids, and even adults. She is built correctly- thick, sturdy and good feet. Not to mention that beautiful flowing mane and tail. Most of all, she is patient with all sorts of riders and her goal is to take care of you. Dakota is extremely user friendly. Even with someone having no experience riding, she sure makes it easy to learn and have fun while doing it! You truly don’t have to worry about giving her the wrong signal, she will stay safe and steady for you to learn and grow with.
When it comes to ground manners, Dakota sure does have excellent ones. She loves to be played with and pampered on- from brushing, bathing, to scratches, to braiding her mane and tail all day long, she will stand perfectly still and soak up all the attention you could possibly give her. Shes super easy to saddle and trailer as well. Keep her stalled or turned out, she’s happy with either. You can go out and catch her anywhere she stands, making it hassle free.
She will be the same horse every single day- you can leave her sitting for as long as you’d like and you can guarantee she’ll ride right off without any nonsense.
When it comes to the trails, Dakota has you covered. When I describe her the phrase that always comes to mind is, “more whoa than go”. This mare is happily content walking along the trails, farm , etc. as long as you’ll let her, but if you desire just ask for a faster speed, and she will do as asked. She will go right into a nice little trot, and pick right up into a lope. Along the trails she will cross water easily, safely take you over fallen down trees, and up and down rocky inclines. She isnt going to spook at any unexpected events that might occur. You can also safely ride her out alone without any worry, she doesn’t have to be rode in a group for you to be able to enjoy a nice, peaceful ride for some relaxation. However, if you prefer to ride her with a group she will do just as good.
I can confidently say i feel absolutely anyone can get along with Dakota, and truly love her for the rest of her life. She’s that perfect family / beginner friendly style horse that’s truly hard to find at her age, with such perfect qualities.
Dakota has a recent PPE which she passed with flying colors! She has zero bad habits and is sound and sane.
