Chaka (short for Chocolate Shake) is a 15.3 hand black draft cross gelding, 14 years old, and built like a brick house with a size four hoof to match. He’s the type that makes you feel confident the minute you swing a leg over him.
Chaka is gentle enough for any level of rider or handler. He’ll pack a kid around happily in English or western tack, and he’s the kind that takes care of his rider rather than looking for trouble.
He’s a true trail horse and will go anywhere you point him without fuss. Water, rough ground, new places—it’s all just another day for him. He’s steady, level headed, and enjoyable to ride whether you’re out for a short ride or gone all afternoon.
Around the barn he’s easy to have. Good for the farrier and stands quietly without needing stocks. He’s also the kind we like to put inexperienced horses next to because he’s a great babysitter and stays calm no matter what’s going on around him.
Chaka is also broke to drive, but we do not have a harness to fit him and showcase this skill.
