Black pearl out of half-sister Etoulon VDL

Dereusa Z is a striking black mare who will turn five years old in 2026. She is lightly backed and still at an early stage of her training under saddle. She still has a lot to learn, but already clearly shows her natural talent. In free jumping she demonstrates very good technique, easy scope and a lot of carefulness over the fence.

Under saddle she shows the same quality, as can be seen in the video. However, she is still green and therefore not suitable for a beginner rider. During further training she may still buck occasionally. This is a horse that requires an experienced rider with feeling. For an advanced amateur or a semi-professional, she is a very interesting prospect to develop. In our opinion, this is a mare with the potential to reach higher level sport in the future.

Sire Defender VDS Z (Dominator 2000 Z x Diamant de Semilly) is approved by Zangersheide and KWPN and competes at 1.40m level, with international results at young horse championships and CSI events. His pedigree combines Dominator 2000 Z (1.70m) and Diamant de Semilly (1.60m), guaranteeing scope and top-level jumping ability.

Dam Hereusa S (Vittorio x Calippo) comes from an exceptionally strong performance family. This direct damline includes multiple international showjumpers such as Dareusa S (1.60m CSI5*), Inferno BF (1.45m CSI3*), It’s A Walk In The Park (1.45m CSI5*), Time-Breaker S Z (1.50m CSIO3*), Lareusa S (1.50m CSI4*) and several horses competing at 1.30m and 1.40m level.

Second dam Utareusa (Calvados) is Elite, Preferent and Prestatie and forms a key pillar of this family. From her line come numerous international showjumpers and approved stallions, including horses competing at 1.50m and 1.60m level.

The third and fourth dams trace back to the famous Areusa/Reuillard damline, one of the most consistent Dutch performance families, producing an exceptional number of horses competing from 1.30m up to 1.60m, both in Europe and North America.
