7-jährige Connemara Stute, 1,46m, Sportpony, Vielseitigkeitspony

The pony days are coming to an end, and we are therefore looking for a new home for our 7-year-old Connemara mare, Killina Star.  

We purchased her as a 3-year-old from Hannah and Michaela of the Connemara Ponies Neupärtl, having ridden and trained her ourselves. Killina Star, affectionately called Schnuff, is 1.46 m tall, regularly vaccinated and dewormed, and has been seen regularly by the farrier. She is shod in front and barefoot behind. Schnuff is a reliable partner in the field, with experience in dressage up to medium level, and has placements in A and A* show jumping classes. She has competed up to A** level in competitions. She is familiar with cross-country obstacles and jumps confidently over everything. This season, she has won show jumping competitions and E-classes at WBO events with an 11-year-old girl. Killina Star is not a light jumper, but a very well-trained 7-year-old pony that is always a joy to ride.  

The mare is always well-behaved in handling, though she can be a bit spirited on some days. She loads easily alone, and our farrier can work on her independently if our schedule doesn’t allow. She is straightforward and pleasant to handle when it comes to grooming and daily care. Whether at home or away, she is always reliable!  

We are looking for a sportily ambitious new owner for this pony, as she enjoys being active. Just riding in the field would probably become too boring for her over time. A mother-child combination is also very much possible! The mare is well-behaved and uncomplicated but not a pure children’s or beginner’s pony. With support, we see no issues there. She can be ridden well while lunged and walks calmly in all three gaits on the lunge, responding to every command. She also enjoys riding without a saddle or jumping with just a halter. Killina Star loves a varied program.

A comprehensive ultrasound examination, including 15 X-ray images of her legs and back, was performed on November 20th with no findings. The X-ray images and report can be sent upon request.
