"6-year-old grade Missouri Fox Trotter gelding, standing approximately 14.2 hands. Good-looking dapple grey with plenty of experience and a solid résumé.
He has been used as both a field trial horse and trail horse. He will walk along quietly on a loose rein, or if you ask him to move out, he will step up and really gait. He has also been used at the sale barn pushing cattle and working the alley, so he is comfortable around cattle and has experience doing a job. He is good around traffic and ATVs and can be led off an ATV.
He has had extensive groundwork put into him and has a good foundation. He will cross water, logs, tarps, and other trail obstacles. He is beginning to neck rein and will give to leg pressure. He understands what is being asked of him and just needs someone to continue riding and finish him out.
He would make someone a nice trail horse, field trial horse, or using horse for working cattle. Handy size at 14.2 and easy to get on and off of.
I would not recommend him for a beginner. He has no buck, rear, or runaway in him, but he does have enough sensitivity that he needs someone with some horse experience. He has been a little touchy around his ears. They have been doctored and he continues to improve with handling. Watch the video and you can see his ears being handled and scratched, so buyers can see for themselves how he currently responds.
Nice, versatile gelding that has actually been used and has plenty of useful experience. He can walk quietly when you want to take it easy and has plenty of gait when you want to cover some country. He has a good foundation and, with some more consistent riding, should finish into a really handy horse."
